Our mission is to make a life changing difference to people living with hearing loss. What does a Hearing Aid Dispenser do? Conduct hearing tests in accordance with the HCPC standards of proficiency and HCPC standards of performance, conduct and ethics and BSHAA code of practice and BSHAA guidelines Advise on and sell suitable remedial hearing solutions as a result of testing in accordance with the above standards, care of practice and guidelines Provide after sales service by responding to service calls to resolve problems or queries regardless of whether original sale made by dispenser, in a timely and professional manner We are currently recruiting for trainees to join our flagship education programme ‘The Award in Hearing Aid Dispensing Competence’ that provides eligibility to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to register as a Hearing Aid Dispenser. Trainees who achieve their professional registration automatically become Hearing Aid Dispensers with Hidden Hearing, selling hearing systems and providing bespoke services to our client base. To be considered for a place on our training programme, you will need: GCSEs (A-C)/equivalent in Maths, English and Science/be able to demonstrate suitable work-related qualifications and experience. A valid UK driving license A working knowledge of computers A warm, personable manner with the ability to empathise with the hearing impaired and clients who have a hearing loss To be able to commit to a 60-week training course (the first 20 weeks of which will be residential at Hidden Hearing’s training facility in Buxton, Derbyshire). Please note that a minimum of 90% attendance is required. A commercial outlook or sales experience will also be an advantage Please note that the role of Hearing Aid Dispenser is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check Our next training programme will start on 1st June 2020 . We normally have two training programmes per year. What will I earn during my training? You will receive: A basic salary (£17,295) and a daily subsistence allowance. Travel expenses 20 days holiday (cannot be taken during the residential training) Company car or car allowance (after successful completion of the 20-week residential programme) The training is fully funded by Hidden Hearing. What will I earn once I’m qualified and registered?
