Construction Logistics Manager

Our client are a well-respected contractor working nationally across the whole of the UK. As a group they are a nationally recognised organisation based originally out of their Northern supported by regional offices throughout the UK. They operate in the new build student accommodation, high rise residential apartments and new build housing sectors. They are a multi-million pound turnover group and a leader in their sectors of the construction industry. Their most recent new development in Sheffield will be a £65m new build student accommodation and mixed use apartment scheme consisting of multiple blocks ranging from four to sixteen floors. This busy project site now requires a Logistics Supervisor / Manager to oversee incoming and outgoing operations on this busy construction project. This is a permanent role attracting a negotiable PAYE salary & benefits package. Main Duties of role: Management of the day to day site access operations and vehicle management Responsible for controlling access to the gate on site Ensuring all visitors / deliveries to site are registered to company booking system Liaison with the general public in regards to site operations, restrictions, health & safety Responsible for ensuring safe and secure opening and closing of site and following all security protocols Managing waste and skips on site Dealing with sub-contractors on site Coordination of deliveries ensuring this is done in a safe and timely manner Experience: Must have previous experience in this type of role on a large construction site Must have supervisory / management experience plus banksman CSCS Card essential SMSTS or SSSTS desirable but not essential.
