Overview
A technically capable Financial Controller is required to join a fast growing £2m t/o business based in the Prescot area of Merseyside. This company have ambitious growth plans and are looking for somebody to bring the accounts in-house and lead a new system implementation. The Financial Controller will ideally be CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified with a strong academic background along with advanced Excel skills. Exposure to dealing with senior management and challenging where appropriate is essential and you will need to be prepared to be 'hands-on' and communicate well with different staff members. Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for: Managing a small finance team of 3 Overseeing both purchase and sales ledger functions Produce the monthly management accounts Managing cash allocation process Monthly journals: depreciation, wages, accruals and prepayments Preparation and production of trial balance Develop budgeting and forecasting processes Develop weekly management reporting information Preparation and submission of VAT Returns Implentation of new accounting software Experience: Excellent communication skills Intermediate/Advanced excel CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (preferable) Prior experience with system implementation is desirable This is an excellent opportunity for somebody to come in and be a pivotal part of this growing organisation.
