Overview
Senior Software Developer (Full Stack) Bradford Our client have an excellent Senior Software Developer opportunity where you will join what is a very entrepreneurial engineering consultancy business based in Bradford. Reporting directly to the Technical Director you will be working as part of the software development team in a pleasant open plan office located in south Bradford. The team is small, focussed, very supportive and collaborative and whist we offer plenty, we also expect you to want to be the best you can be. As a Senior Software Developer, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development process. Working with the Technical Director and junior developers, you will contribute to greenfield software design, using your problem-solving skills to present technical solutions to our clients’ challenges. As part of the design process, you will also have opportunities to work closely with clients to discuss technical and non-technical design elements, such as interface design, allowing you to flex your creative talents. Working within a small development team, you will be designing and coding core software functionality from given specifications. It will be expected that you can solve most technical problems in a maintainable fashion and be able to provide help and advice to Junior developers. It is essential that you have a good foundation in mathematics and that you can apply your mathematical knowledge to solve engineering problems. As a Senior Developer, you must be able to manage your own tasks within a sprint, having taken prioritised direction from the Technical Director. You will also strive to be a role model to those less experienced within the business. The role will involve occasional travel within the UK.
