Seven Healthcare is looking for a Locum Band 6/7 Physiotherapist to fill an ongoing community role start ASAP in the Guildford area. The role: My client based in Guildford, Surrey are seeking an ongoing band 6/7 Paediatric Physiotherapist to start ASAP on an ongoing basis. This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a supportive local team of enthusiastic and motivated therapist and assistants. The service is for children aged 0-19 years, who have a variety of conditions including Cerebral Palsy, neuromuscular conditions and children with complex needs. Key Responsibilities: To provide support and advice for the child's family and parents about all aspects of their care that relate to their therapy needs, adjusting your use of language to allow for their level of comprehension to understand. To provide and receive complex and sensitive information with regard to a child's difficulties and expectations To attend meetings where requested in order to provide specialist advice about the therapy needs of the child. To arrange these meetings when appropriate. To be able to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity in response to parents and children. To work closely with parents who are themselves dealing with anger, grief and frustration as they come to terms with the impact of their child's condition Applicant Requirements: Qualifications: Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent. Evidence of Post Graduate training (desirable). Experience: Respect the confidentiality and privacy of patients and staff at all time - Health and Safety. To comply with all aspects of the health and safety policies and to participate in mandatory training as required. Maintain at all times a safe working environment and report any issues of concern as appropriate. Compliance: HCPC Registration. Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday.
