The Company Our client is a 40 bedded nursing and care home providing high quality care to residents who have conditions related to ageing and expertise in caring for adults aged 18 with complex healthcare needs. They care for people with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, advanced medical conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neurone Disease (MND), terminal conditions such as cancer and renal failure and people requiring ventilation systems. Duties We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RGN) to work 40 hours a week working day shifts on an 8am - 8pm or 8am - 2pm shift pattern. Responsibilities will include: ensure, through effective supervision, management and a high standard of professional practice, a delivery of care, that is conducive to the clinical, spiritual, psychological, health and welfare needs of the resident is maintained provide advice, clinical expertise in the management of complex cases and high risk situations develop person centred care plans that improve resident experiences and achieve positive outcomes, incorporating risk assessments and other such relevant documentation that detail the action which needs to be taken by the care team to ensure that all aspects of the health, personal care, psychological and social care needs of the residents are met provide a visible, accessible and authoritative presence to staff, residents and significant others demonstrate that they can manage complex situations effectively, making decisions based on the overall long term impact to the home and business and not based on the benefit of a particular situation or individual deal with conflict in the proper setting and use outcomes as an opportunity for improvement resolve difficult situations and settle disputes equitably by effectively understanding others and finding a common ground and to attain a solution negotiate skilfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups and reach effective solutions without damaging relationships act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct Skills and Experience Candidates must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with experience in most of the below: Venepuncture Male, female and suprapubic catheterisation Tracheostomy management PEG feeding Subcutaneous fluids Working with adults and older people Medication management Complex needs Invasive/Non invasive ventilators Rate of Pay £15.50ph (possibly negotiable for a very experienced candidate) To Apply For more information please forward a CV or call Jay Gibbons for more information.
