The group continues to grow year on year by acquiring new Practices. The role will suit someone who is currently studying towards the end of their AAT or commenced ACCA/ACA qualification with experience in professional practice. However, all applications with UK relevant practice experience will be taken into account regardless of qualifications. About the role: Preparation of accounts for a wide range of businesses to include sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies, ready for manager review. Tax work including personal and company tax returns, VAT returns and CIS returns. Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT return work for a small number of clients. Covering questions and queries with clients directly with them. Assisting clients with online accounting software packages and making them aware of their obligations under MTD. Requirements: Current UK accountancy practice experience The ability to work on your own and as part of a team A working knowledge of desktop and cloud based accounting software. Knowledge and experience of IRIS products preferable but not essential as training will be given. You will have proven accounts and taxation knowledge gained via appropriate and recent practice experience and be used to working on your own initiative. Ideally, you will be studying towards ACCA/ACA for which study support will be provided, hold an accountancy degree or other appropriate professional qualification. You must have a good working knowledge of accounts preparation and computations of taxes with the ability to hit the ground running and assist with complex tasks. As a successful candidate you will also have: • The ability to develop strong client/colleague relationships. • Exceptional communication/presentation skills. • Drive & ambition with a high focus towards customer service. You must have good people skills, be highly organised and be able to work unsupervised to strict deadlines as part of a busy and friendly team. You must have a good command of the English language (both spoken and written) as the job involves writing of technical emails to clients.
