Overview
Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing have an exceptional opportunity for a Quality Engineer (12-month FTC) to join a renowned, market-leading manufacturing business based in York. Offering precision-engineered products globally, our client is looking for a Quality Engineer who wants to apply their experience and skill set in a forward-thinking business. Reporting to the Quality Director, you will develop and maintain a quality system that supports the businesses strategy. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for: -Developing and maintaining the quality system that supports the business strategy and project plans -Investigating product and process defects and related quality issues -Supporting relevant departments in the development of good engineering practice -Implementing quality tools: DFMEA, PFMEA, Poka Yoke -Developing the QMS -Supporting the Supply Chain team -Conducting audits, vendor rating and KPI's Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences: -A proven track record in a Quality Engineer role -From a manufacturing background is essential -Experience in problem solving, root cause analysis and process improvement -Able to develop the QMS to ISO9001:2015 -An excellent understanding of dimensional and visual inspection techniques -An HNC/HND/Degree qualification in an engineering discipline This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join innovative, driven business who are renowned for their precision-engineered products.
