Overview
Our Client is the UK’s leader in relocatable accommodation including portable cabins, modular buildings, permanent buildings, secure storage, portable toilets and temporary fencing from locations throughout the UK. They provide buildings for hire, modular buildings for sale and rent, and off-site permanent buildings for sale throughout the UK for temporary, semi-permanent and permanent use across a wide range of sectors. PURPOSE: To assist in the preparation of a range of cabins prior to them going out on hire. Reporting Structure: Reporting to the Site Manager. Working within a small team in the Depot. Essential: Basic understanding and acceptance of Health & Safety rules. Good mix of general maintenance skills. Competent in the use of basic hand/power tools. COSH - Manual handling. CSCS Blue Card. Full UK Driving Licence. Ideal: Certificates in MPBA or ECA Nice to have but training will be given. Abrasive Wheels Awareness. Personal Characteristics: Good general physical fitness. Ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team. Has a strong work ethic. Flexible attitude to working. Proactive. Capable of working to and achieving set targets/deadlines. Responsibilities & Requirements: Cleaning of units and fittings internally and externally. Manual preparation for painting. Use a Doosan 7 / 41 Air Compressor or equivalent. Meet Shot Blasting Standards. Complete PAT Testing. Use a B1 Forklift or Power Pallet Truck or Low Loader Picker. Complete external lock fitting. Complete key cutting. Complete exterior door fitting. Repair and replace wall and ceiling boards. Fit Partitions. Fit final trim. Replace plywood flooring. Remove / fit wall and ceiling panels. Fit travel panels. Complete break in and door lock repairs. Complete vinyl floor covering installation and repairs. Fit sinks, taps and worktops. Basic understanding of plumbing circuits/systems Complete water pressure testing. Test and complete water sterilisation. Perform basic un-coded welding. Fit standard convector, over sink & under sink water heater, down-flow heater and standard hand dryer. To preform basic engine repairs. Check downpipe, roof and floor integrity. To be able to cut a window/door panel from a blank panel.
