Overview
The Company A fast-paced manufacturing company The Role Reporting to Production Manager, Liaising with ERP Manager, Design Engineer, and Buyer Responsible for (but not limited to): o Machine Shop, Assembly Production Orders and file creation o Routing Maintenance o Sub Contract production Orders o Monitoring and chasing of sub-contracted components Play a key part in maintaining the corporate goal of a minimum On-Time Delivery Work with a qualified supply chain to obtain and negotiate sales agreements and subsequently raise Purchase Orders utilising negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods. Work closely with the buyer for raising sub-contract production orders to ensure the smooth running of production processes. Collaborate with quality control, warehouse and other staff according to the company Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015). Continually improve systems and processes to become more efficient and reduce errors. The Candidate Practical mechanical engineer (HNC/D) is desirable Good computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Good ERP experience (SAP, BaaN) Proactive self driven Strong communication skills. Good knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, machining, hardening, coating). Working with international standards such as ISO, ASME and API would be advantageous. Reading technical drawings. ERP/MRP systems such as SAP for example (RP uses Infor Baan) Working within a quality management system, ideally ISO 9001 The Package From £25,000pa - £30,000pa plus benefits.
