Overview
Sawman - Barnsley Hours of work: 7am-3:30pm (40 hours a week basic) Pay: £9-9.50p/h Time and half for overtime and Saturdays Double Time on Sundays Overview Major Technical are currently in partnership with a client based out in Barnsley who are one of the leading manufacturers of architecturl steelwork in the area. The are currently seeking an exciting individual with sawman experience to join their ambitious team with futuree career prospects with the comapny. Key Duties include: Cutting natural and engineered steel worksurfaces using saw machinery Working from technical drawings Undertake the operation of machinery and hand power tools Clean & maintain machinery & tools The Person Key Requirements Cutting mytres and angle joints Operating forklift General labouring duties Skills and prefered qualities Numerate and literate Good communication skills Previous experience of operating machinery and hand power tools Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team Ability to work towards tight deadlines and targets Flexible approach to workload and duties is essential Physically demanding role requiring lifting and handling of heavy equipment and steelwork Experience of working within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage Forklift licence Driving licence and own transport If you would be interested in this position and would like to find out more please apply on the link below, alterantivley give me a call on 01302554510.
