Job Title: Tekla CAD Technician (Barriers) Location: Wolverhampton Package: Candidate led (Dependant on Tekla experience) Benefits: Private health care, Life Cover, age related pension scheme, 25 days holidays stats, annual salary review, company wide bonus scheme, onsite parking, employee assistance programme, Keywords: CAD designer, CAD technician, CAD engineer, Structural Steel, Concrete, Tekla, 3D CAD The company Renowned designer and manufacturer of off highway safety systems, facades and cladding solutions Leaders in innovation, their products are recognised and used globally Due to an increase in larger orders coming through, they are looking for a specialist Tekla CAD Technician to join their team Typical tasks you will be doing on a day to day basis Based within their well resourced drawing office in Wolverhampton you will be using Tekla CAD to calculate pressure stresses and strains that components, beams and lintels will have with steel-work clashes due to human use or the weather Make drawings, specifications and computer models for building contractors Liaising with other designers and architects to agree safe designs Examine structures at risk of collapsing and advise how to improve their integrity Investigate Structural Engineer's reports and liaise with consulting engineers to establish the best approach to project design and construction Utilise 3D modelling software and FEA technology for simulation purposes Occasionally (about once a month) you will need to attend project sites You Essentially you will need 3 years of working with Tekla as well as AutoCAD Understand the properties of different materials like steel or concrete Have working experience as a CAD designer, Technician or detailer within Structural steel or Concrete Able to use drawings or 3D models in order to express creative idea's If you are looking to take your career to the next level within a stable environment then please apply addressing your application to Zandy Houghton at our Birmingham Branch Encore Personnel are an Equal Opportunities Employer.
