Job Title: Business Analyst - Inside IR35 £500.00 - Inside IR35 Guildford 6 months Job Description: To assist in the migration of key systems and creation of new customer facing websites for a major multinational company, working with teams and stakeholders across multiple locations and functions. The purpose of the role is to enable organisational change by using specialised business analysis, change management skills and a disciplined business analysis approach. In addition, the purpose of the role is to identify, and help the business articulate, the need for change by defining requirements and recommending solutions that will maximise the value delivered by the business to its customers. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business and IT to contribute to the delivery of a varied portfolio of work. Key accountabilities -Applies best practice business analysis tools, techniques and standards as required, and supports the delivery of improvements to these through the Business Analysis Community of Practice -Works to understand existing business environment, business needs and elicit business requirements from stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Manages end-to-end clear traceability, maintenance, prioritisation, change control and approval mechanisms. -Supports translation of business requirements into viable business solutions in line with business objectives. -Supports the development, systems testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of solutions by working closely with them and solution partners, suppliers, and business stakeholders. -Learns from previous experience and understands how benefits have been delivered by participating in post-implementation reviews, lessons learned sessions and knowledge share/peer reviews. Skills & Experience Technical skills -Skills in the following oCustomer journey creation oWorking with users to define web site for Quote and buy oDefinition of user stories and their acceptance criteria oRequirement gathering and stakeholder engagement within a fixed scope oBusiness change process oRequirements definition and traceability oAgile process and tools oUnderstanding of Angular and Java development oStrong experience of using Jira oAnalysis of key business data and system integration Experience -Strong experience of web site definition especially in Quote and Buy area -Integration of web design to back end systems -Acting as a deputy product owner for agile development -Ability to show good flexibility/"T shaped" approach to assistance with other areas -Strong experience with working with offshore teams -Strong experience of influencing and managing stakeholders up to senior level -Strong ability to work with stakeholders to define and finalise business requirements -Flexible and adaptable with a drive to get the right result and overcome challenges -Experience with waterfall and agile (scrum/Kanban) methods of working -Experience of working in a business analysis role on projects of varying complexity - ideally within the Insurance / Financial Services industry. -Experience and understanding of how businesses operate and key drivers for change. -Experience in measuring and monitoring Benefits -A robust understanding of the full Project / Systems Development life cycle and associated methodologies. -A good appreciation of the wider field of IT systems (architecture, hardware and software), their use in relevant business processes and how they are implemented to meet business objectives. -High degree of organisation, task planning and time management skills -Excellent communication skills - verbal and written - and MS Office, MS Visio. -Experience of planning and facilitating workshops of varying size. -Expertise in defining and leading business analysis approaches within waterfall methodologies from business change and systems development perspectives. -Application of recognised industry standard modelling techniques -Experience and/or certification in project management methods are desirable Qualifications -Educated to degree level or holder of further professional qualifications and experience - Desirable -'A' Level education or equivalent - Essential -BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent - Desirable
