The Role: Assisting the Paint & Digital finishing departments with day to day tasks. Duties and responsibilities: To co-operate with the company to maintain statutory requirements, safe working practices, relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, company policies, quality system requirements and general procedures To accept other work instructions from the company’s management to undertake similar or alternative types of work at the company’s premises, as well as changes to shift working on a temporary or permanent basis Minimum job requirements: To be able to function in a flexible and multi-skill capacity To manage stock control of base paint, colorants and sample pots To organise and fulfil stock deliveries according to schedules To communicate and co-ordinate transport logistics To be competent in manual handling skills, capable of moving and lifting moderate loads with appropriate levels of personal fitness to meet these requirements, including competency in the use of additional mechanical handling equipment Numeracy and literacy is required to support tasks within the role General communication and liaison skills are required, together with waste management skills Sample pots production Picking Base Paint and colorants using Unity scanning system Tinting Base paint job card specification Random quality check Dispatch of tinted paint and sample pots Computer literate to ensure accurate tinting and order processing Running of the SRC finishing machine Running of the Winding machine for the Digital department Wrapping & packing of all digital product Accurate labelling of digital designs Completion of log sheets Working safely, personal development and continuous operational improvement: Clear understanding of safe working practices, fire safety awareness, use of protective clothing and the correct methods of manual handling, lifting and carrying Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment, keeping working areas free from hazards working knowledge of the safe use of all mechanical handling equipment Ability to identify hazards and follow Safe Systems of Work, best practice techniques and procedures To undertake training and development activities and respond positively to new and alternative systems
