Overview
Picton West is working with a long established distribution company on the outskirts of Southampton and together we are recruiting for a Sales Administrator. Based in out of town offices within a bubbly team of 6 the Sales Administrator will: Process customer enquiries & orders Respond to incoming enquiries by phone, fax & email Quote customers price & stock availability using company pricing policy, instruction from sales management team and market knowledge. Load sales orders on system. Send sales confirmations to customers. Progress Customer Orders Liaise with operation, purchasing and credit control departments to progress customer orders. Deal with customer service issues, liaise with operations and QA departments and raise paperwork as required. Update customers accordingly. Process Account Applications. Inform customers of procedure and forward information to credit control dept Deal with credit and debit card sales as required. Follow up sales quotations to secure orders & obtain market information Promote sales by contacting customers by phone & email. Accompany other members of staff on customer visits if requested. Ensure customer sales records are in order. Other administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth running of the office. The successful Sales Administrator will ideally come from a Sales Admin background. You must be used to dealing with people at all levels and be customer focussed. Working to deadlines and offering great service is imperative. Candidates that have worked in a Customer Service or Admin role that has a lot of customer contact will be particularly suitable. The role of Sales Administrator is Monday to Friday 9-5pm with an early finish on a Friday. Other benefits include free parking, Christmas shut down and 20 days holiday. The successful Sales Administrator can expect a salary up to £20k depending on experience.
