Overview
Reed Accountancy have pleasure in working for a Global organisation in Chelmsford who are recruiting an experienced Fund Accountant to join their UK Traditional Fund Services Team. Minimum Requirements • Extensive experience and fund accounting knowledge of both open-ended and closed-ended funds gained from within the financial services sector. • Securities administration and financial reporting experience for fund types including Investment Trusts, OEICs and UT’s. Duties and Responsibilities • Oversee/review the production of reports and accounts for Unit Trusts/OEIC’s and Investment Trusts • Oversee/review the proofing process, and work in conjunction with Company Secretariat for Inv Trusts • Attend Board, Audit and Annual General Meetings where required • Organise the training of all new team members on AAMS and Business Objects. • Motivate staff and identification of training and development needs • Develop SORP’s and Accounts production workbooks • To develop new reports, as required • Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products • Participate in client service reviews and ad hoc client meetings • Continuous review and development of the processes and associated internal controls operating in and around the fund accounting dept. • To assist in developing and programming the valuation and cost sheets • To manage workflows • To implement changes for new investment types, fund launches and share classes • To perform distribution calculations • To reconcile the monthly trustee packs, and respond to queries raised from Trustee/Depositary • Quarterly ONS Returns, VAT returns, processing Directors Payroll • Production of income forecasts, investment restrictions and investment performance summary • To liaise with, manage and respond to any ad-hoc queries of external auditors
