Join us as a Support Worker (experienced or not) and you'll soon see why About the role We have vacancies for Full -time Support Workers in our Supported Living services in Westoning (Flitwick), Bedfordshire, part-time opportunities are also available, these would be discussed at interview. You will play a key part in providing support, over two semi-detached properties and 4 gentlemen (aged from 50 - 64), to live as independently as possible. You will join in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies, helping them be active members of their local community. Activities might include going to the golfing range, day trips to the seaside, walking, listening to music, shopping, going out for meals or to the pub, taking people to and from their learning centre or day opportunities. Due to age and the complexity of their learning disabilities, individuals require support with personal care and medication. There can sometimes also be behaviours that challenge. The work can be demanding and doesn't suit everyone, but if it's right for you, you'll find it incredibly rewarding and valuable, and you'll be adding value to the people you are supporting We will provide you with full training and with day-to-day help and advice from your Frontline Manager. What we need from you Experience is not necessary, as we provide a full induction and free training programme. People join us from many different backgrounds, it's more important to us that you have a positive approach and are willing to learn. It is essential for these positions that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, as you will be required to drive service vehicles. You must also have a minimum of one year's driving experience for insurance purposes.
