We are proud to be supporting an independent Bus and Coach Repair Company based in the North East of England at Durham specialising in both mechanical and electrical diagnostics. This company takes great pride in delivering bespoke solutions and due to business growth, they are looking to recruit. We are looking for a fully qualified auto technician who has completed a recognised apprenticeship with a knowledge in PSV, PCV or HGV Industry. You must have the relevant technical qualification, a current full driving licence as travelling in and around the North East of England and Yorkshire will be involved. We will provide you with a company van while at work along with the relevant diagnostic equipment. Key Points The salary for this technician position is £31,200 per year (£15.00 per hour) The working hours are 40 per week The working week is Monday – Friday with no shifts Requirements for the role Ability to prioritise Ability to speak with customers in a manner that they will understand Ability to read technical drawings/wiring diagrams Be able to use hand tools to a high level of skill Able to work independently and use your own initiative Ability to produce reports as required Responsibilities Must be able to use computer programs for diagnostic purposes such as Actia, Cummins Insite amongst others Be able to understand and read wiring diagrams Be able to use hand tools to a high level of skill Ability to use special tools such as heat shrink guns and crimping equipment Be responsible by assisting the company in caring for the environment Adhere to the company Health and Safety Policy Be able to carry out simple and complex wiring repair/modification Have the ability to keep clear and accurate records Benefits 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) Paid overtime Incremental performance-based salary increases Possibility of funding towards further qualifications that are related to the role Bonus System Company Pension This role requires a high level of skill in order to diagnose, maintain and repair complex electrical, mechanical and air systems on buses and coaches.
