Hours:40 hours Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £18,720 per annum Based in Stevenage At Origin, we are here to provide housing in London and Hertfordshire that people can afford. We want to grow our 6,500 homes and provide more care and support services that make a difference to people’s lives. Origin Housing is looking for a support worker to work with our service users who have learning disabilities and some mental health needs. The post holders will play a vital role supporting service users at our supported housing scheme in Stevenage. What you’ll do: · Deliver support to service users with learning disabilities; promoting choice, independence, integration within the local community and development of skills, operating as part of a team on a flexible shift basis. · Working with and managing service user’s individual support plans and risk assessments while keeping clear and up to date records to required standards. · Liaise with internal customers and external organisations when needed, maintaining good working relationships whilst ensuring service user needs are met. What you’ll need: · Knowledge of issues facing people with learning disabilities living in the community · Knowledge of key legislation for people with learning disabilities · Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a remote setting · Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays How to apply Please send us your latest CV that show us how your experience meets the role profile.
