Origin Housing is looking for a support worker to work with our service users who have learning disabilities and some mental health needs. The post holders will play a vital role supporting service users at our supported housing scheme in Stevenage. What you’ll do: · Deliver support to service users with learning disabilities; promoting choice, independence, integration within the local community and development of skills, operating as part of a team on a flexible shift basis. · Working with and managing service user’s individual support plans and risk assessments while keeping clear and up to date records to required standards. · Liaise with internal customers and external organisations when needed, maintaining good working relationships whilst ensuring service user needs are met. What you’ll need: · Knowledge of issues facing people with learning disabilities living in the community · Knowledge of key legislation for people with learning disabilities · Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a remote setting · Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays How to apply Please send us your latest CV that show us how your experience meets the role profile.
