The Commercial Manager will undertake the role as the voice of the customer ensuring that their Contracts are fulfilled and the service received is exceptional. Working with defence departments and large prime contractors means experience in international trade compliance is essential. The business is currently going through an exciting period of positive change, this opportunity is based in the Aerospace & Defence business Description Commercial Manager has sole responsible for the Customer Support & Care team, however the role also has reporting parties indirectly whom consist of cross functional individuals across multiple disciplinarians including but not limited to Design, Quality, Planning and Production including purchasing. The Commercial Manager will undertake the role as the voice of the customer ensuring that their Contracts are fulfilled and the service received is exceptional. The commercial Manager will also provide direct support to the Sales team and Project staff in their negotiation and delivery of global contracts. As well as ensuring the successful adherence to the responsibilities of the company in delivering the contractual requirements and encompassing all relevant terms and conditions. The role will require a strong background in contract administration and management plus (this is essential) a knowledge of International Trade Compliance. The Commercial Manager will have: Daily Customer / Client liaison Review and impose Customer Contracts, PO's, Tenders & RFQ's Communicates with all parties during contract discussions to ensure contractual obligations and terms are acceptable and clear. Including assessing financial aspects including Inco terms Prepare and develop business case during the feasibility stage of contract negotiation Review T&C's and assess impact to contract delivery / company performance Operate Lean six sigma process across the manufacturing Facility - including overseeing Projects contributable to LEAN working Pursue new opportunities, develop Business relationships with existing and prospective clients Manage ERP System including inputting data including account data, part data and checking validity of BOM structures. Preparing and analysing reports and raw data (Customer Orders, Opportunity Pipeline, Financials, KPI's) Support tender and quote preparation Risk Management across all activities including but not limited to Contract negotiation, delivery and recall operations Make recommendations based upon any risk findings or areas of business improvement Take ownership of and resolve contract issues Profile The Commercial Manager will have: Previous experience of managing global contracts & administration, ideally in the manufacturing sector e.g. Defence / aerospace / automotive /energy and across the board. Leading and managing teams Contract, quote and tender negotiation and delivery experience Working in highly regulated business environment Bid Review Process Customer Service Experience Sales and Project support Working in integrated contract and project teams Commutable daily distance to the office in Liverpool Job Offer Competitive salary and package on offer
