Overview

Huntress are recruiting a Part Time Accounts Assistant for a leading manufacturing and distribution business in Harlow. This is a 9 month contract to cover Maternity leave and will be an integral part of the Finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager and working in a team of 4 staff, duties will be heavily involved in Credit Control with candidates having an adaptable, flexible approach which will see them work well across all other aspects of the business. Typical duties and responsibilities will include the following Maintenance of the Sales Ledger as a whole ensuring customer data is current Running monthly statements Resolving customer queries Locating copy contracts, job sheets invoices and credit notes Raising credit notes and invoices where needed Resolution of errors made by admin team Escalation of action against bad debtors up to County Court Summons Maintaining the Cash sale and Unknown receipt accounts Processing PDQ receipts/refunds, cash and cheque receipts Monitor un-invoiced sales orders Processing credits and allocating customer receipts Reconciling bank statements on a daily basis Check all sales orders and PPM's before goods sent/work undertaken to ensure account is within terms Carry out credit checks for new and existing customers Open new customer accounts Processing supplier invoices Ad hoc duties for the Finance Manager and Managing Director The successful candidate will have proven experience in credit control or purchase ledger environments and have an adaptable, flexible approach that will see them work in a small office effectively.
