Overview

Connect2Socialwork are currently seeking permanent Social Workers to work in Looked After Children and Permanence teams on behalf of Croydon Council. Working with Looked After Children in Croydon is unique and rewarding. Croydon focus strongly on the quality between their staff and children, young people and foster carers and adopters. Nearly 50% of Looked After Children are Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, which has led to the development of significant expertise and a national profile in this area of work. The support and development of social workers, personal advisors and managers is ensured to put children at the heart of all decision making. There is a strong track record in keeping children in stable placements. Croydon has the largest Fostering Service in London. All of these services, including the Leaving Care Service, work under the same Head of Service, making the work streamlined and coherent.
