Overview

Our client is seeking Principal Road Engineer -Highways with roads technical experience, working on local, national and international schemes from our offices in Croydon. Job responsibilities include: Ensure compliance with all relevant technical standards Deliver specified project outcomes on time, within budget and to the quality required Manage the workload and technical management and oversight of a design team Technical and financial management of medium-sized projects or tasks Writing and handling the preparation of contract documents and technical reports as required Well-developed communication skills for internal/external parties Coaching, mentoring and developing junior staff ?Leading and developing internal and external client relationships and the identification and management of project risks Minimum Requirements To be successful in this role we would like to hear from you if you feel you can meet a significant proportion of the following criteria; Graduate in Civil Engineering or equivalent with experience of Highway Engineering in directly relevant fields A highly motivated CEng Engineer with excellent communication skills Full lifecycle experience across a variety of projects Significant technical design experience covering disciplines to DMRB and MCHW Demonstrable understanding of Health and Safety including CDM Full clean driving licence Possess excellent oral and written communication skills Strive for technical quality Preferred, Qualifications BSc, BEng or MEng degree in Civil Engineering Chartered Engineer and member of a professional institution Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
