Overview

Clark James are delighted to be working with a highly successful Leicestershire based IFA, who are currently seeking an experienced IFA Administrator. The Company Our client are a highly reputable, well-established firm of Chartered Financial Planners which specialise in self-invested pensions and investment management for high net worth individuals. The Company delivers bespoke solutions to financial planning scenarios, often done via working with the client’s other financial advisers, such as accountants and solicitors. The Role Reporting on a daily basis to the SIPP Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing portfolio of clients with Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs), expected to provide a quality administration service and provide technical and administrative support to the Financial Planner whilst maintaining good working relationships with clients and colleagues. Set up new SIPPS in a timely fashion, using a diary system, and prepare draft suitability reports Effect transfers into SIPPs and prepare draft suitability reports Prepare for client meetings Carry out the renewals of SIPP arrangements. Invoice clients in accordance with Client Agreements Oversee and provide guidance in respect of property purchase / sales and borrowing Process claims arising from death and illness, including the calculation of final remuneration and benefits payable Process retirement claims - obtain comparative figures, process retirees’ pensions on the open market to provide the best benefits and prepare draft suitability reports Provide BCE statements and other required confirmation to client Monitor client accounts, in particular with the payment of pensions Maintain a diary confirming the date of any drawdown anniversaries, rent reviews, lease expiry etc Obtain plan valuations for the purposes of income drawdown calculations Maintain accurate records, using software available (Omni, Access, Excel, Adviser Office) Process changes to SIPP records. Produce bespoke Documents Process tax reclaims Carry out other routine administration tasks and deal with client queries within field of expertise / range of authorisation Provide CPC to client where necessary Provide cancellation rights to client, where necessary Calculate maximum contributions allowable, maximum borrowings, tax free cash, and maximum income withdrawals, death benefits and retirement benefits The Person We are seeking someone who has experience of SIPP client servicing and administration, who is willing to work towards the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (if not already obtained). You will have good understanding of SIPP, SSAS and other associated products, including their use in Financial Planning. Good IT skills and the willingness to learn and progress are essential.
