Overview

Company Accountant Ipswich £35,000, The client is a successful and fast growing capital equipment and engineering business, fabricating large and medium sized pieces of specialist hi-spec equipment, which they sell both direct and through third party distributors, to a wide range of large corporates within the UK, in Europe and in to the Middle East and Africa. They also have a rentals business and provide servicing and maintenance support for their equipment. The business is a SME, and it has a 5 year plan to see significant growth in activities. Reporting to the MD, the role is responsible for all finance functions of the business. This will include all aspects of the day-to-day accounts including payroll, management accounts, cash flow management, forecasts, as well as providing support to the MD. Responsibilities include: Preparation of monthly management accounts. Credit control. Cash flow management and forecasts. Annual budgets and regular forecasts. Payroll. VAT and PAYE returns and CT schedules. Daily bookkeeping / ledger. Weekly supplier payments. Year-end accounts to trial balance, and working with the Accountants. Liaising with Leasing Companies. Ensuring compliance with shipping documentation. Any other ad hoc projects as and when required. This is an excellent role for a PQ, AAT or QBE accountant seeking a with some flexible hours, working mainly in the office, and remotely via the Cloud. You will need to be familiar working with cloud based accountancy solutions; the client uses QuickBooks and Sage, and you need to be proficient with Excel and Office products. You will need to have enough initiative to sort out problems, liaise with clients and Distributors, both in the UK and overseas, and assist the MD with commercial decision making. The client hopes that as the business grows, that this role will offer increased days.
