Overview
A leading technology business are looking for a Billing Clerk to join their newly formed SSC in north Manchester: Responsibilities include: Ensure all sale invoices and credits are raised within the relevant time frames Ensure all levels of approval have been received before raising credits Implement and improve processes to streamline the day to day tasks as well as providing live group consolidated billing information. Assisting Service Managers and other operational staff with any queries/support required Maintain account reconciliations, ensuring all periods are billed on time every time Liaise with other departments including operational staff to resolve any queries Build and maintain relations with external funders as well as internal staff Escalate any key issues relating to invoices and customer complaints to the relevant person Support the Accounts Receivable and Billing Manager Provide cover for the rest of the sales ledger team Provide assistance with any ad hoc tasks / reporting necessary Highlight areas for improvements in relation to processes and systems Personal requirements Prior experience of working within a sales ledger team/billing department Sector knowledge preferable Good IT skills, including Excel and Oracle knowledge (preferable) Excellent communication skills, able to work well under pressure High level of numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail
