Role: Purchasing Manager / Project Manager Salary: £40,000 Location: Derby Type: Permanent Overview 2Fawcett are recruiting for a Purchasing Manager, to join a company located in Derby on a permanent basis. This is a fabulous opportunity for an experience procurement professional, a pivotal role in a very successful company. You will be responsible for ensuring stakeholders achieve the best value for money and level of service from suppliers. The Role & Responsibilities of the Purchasing Manager Responsible for managing the purchasing strategy and activity for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price. You will develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and manage the development of contracts, contractual relationships and contract management. Drive excellence across the procurement function, within sourcing efficiencies, system improvements and supplier risk management. Supplier performance management, developing strategies and procedures to ensure suppliers achieve and maintain service levels. Be the designated Project Manager for group wide projects as and when required, ensuring projects are delivered on time and with budget. Manage the purchase ordering system alongside the accounts team, assisting with month end. What you will require in the Purchasing Manager Role Project Management Qualification eg - Prince 2, Six Sigma or equivalent CIPS Qualification Knowledge of procurement systems Excellent stakeholder management skills to effectively create and enforce a new procurement division
