Connect Systems Manager – Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Group Who are we? Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries are a leading national childcare provider – with 50 Day Nurseries in England. We are currently seeking a Connect Systems Manager to join the finance team at our National Head Office, based in Basingstoke. What we’re looking for Reporting to the Finance Controller you will take full responsibility for the management and operation of the Connect Childcare system . You will also be required to provide support and guidance to all nursery managers and administrators from a financial management and control perspective. The Connect Childcare package is the integral system used across our UK company, not only by the nursery teams but also by finance and marketing. From this system we manage: · Child and parent data · Booking patterns and nursery staff ratios · Finance parameters, including local authority child funding · Customer (parent) invoicing runs · Payment allocations and debt management This role would suit someone with a good systems acumen and accounting knowledge from an SME background dealing with multi-site operations and a matrix of operations (nursery) managers and head office functions. Key to this role is the ability to truly understand how the Connect Childcare system functions and what drives the system parameters to ensure that our financial reporting outcomes are providing the correct information. What you’ll have As an SME, we will need you to be able to work at all levels, be ‘hands on’.You will have a high level of IT skills and be someone who enjoys working with systems as well as an advanced level of Excel competence. You will think proactively, continually looking for improvements and be able to mange your workload to meet the changing deadlines, many of which could result from impromptu information requests. Responsible for: · All matters relating to the operational management and development of the Connect Childcare system · Ensuring that all pricing is correctly set-up and updated on an annual basis · Working with nurseries to assist with the setting up of grant parameters inside of Connect Childcare and that children are correctly applied to them · To be able to manually calculate how funding is applied to bills and to be able to explain it to nursery managers · Ensuring that all Connect Childcare reports generate the correct information required, particularly by the finance team · Review monthly billing runs using reports to ensure all children have been billed and that all adjustments out of the ordinary have been queried. · Exporting / Importing of financial data from the Connect Childcare system to Sage 200 · Testing Connect Childcare system version updates on a Sandbox before being applied to the live system · Create and manage support tickets with Connect Childcare’s support team · Setting up of new users within Connect · Support nursery Managers & administrators in the use of the Connect Childcare system. This will involve daily interaction by email and telephone, responding to Connect queries and issues · Lead the roll-out of Connect to newly acquired companies (nurseries) within the group · Provide support as required to the Finance Controller Attributes: · IT competent with a strong interest in systems · Continuously improve processes and procedures · Process information in an accurate and timely manner · Seek to question and want to deliver a first-rate service to the nurseries · Team player, ready to support colleagues and provide cover and assistance as required · Continually wanting to learn Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a system support role – essential Experience of Connect Childcare system – very advantageous, but not essential Previous SME experience – desirable Finance accounting experience – desirable Project Management experience- useful Experience in working in the Nursery sector – useful Skills: Technically systems literate Very HIGH level of Excel skill to include working with large datasets, data manipulation and use of multi-step formulas IT literate across all Microsoft Office products Ability to build relationships across all levels. Excellent customer service, providing sound / up to date advice and support to the nurseries Ability to communicate well with non-technical nursery personnel and explain coherently Ability to use initiative.
