We are looking for nurturing Children’s Support Workers living close to the Taunton area of Somerset. Holding a Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People's Workforce or Residential Childcare is essential. It is highly desirable you have previously worked with children or young adults to apply for this role, you must also be over the age of 19, and have a full UK Driving Licence. How can I make a difference? This service support children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Autism, Challenging Behaviours and children who have suffered significant trauma and abuse. As their Support Worker, you will be key in helping create a safe environment for the young people to flourish. You will help them with education and life skills, and ultimately, their independence. You will work therapeutically with them to help teach coping strategies and to respond to things that have happened in their lives, maximising the chance of a positive and lasting future. Salary, Hours & Benefits £18,250 - £21,556 per annum DOE. £36 per sleep-in (Sleeps over 3 weeks equals approximately an extra £216 per month). Full-time hours, 39-hours per week on a 3-week rota, average 10 shifts per month. Shifts are 24.5-hours long (16-hours working and 8-hours sleep with 30-minute handover) Week 1 – Tuesday, Friday & Sunday includes 3 sleeps. Week 2 – Wednesday & Saturday includes 2 sleeps.
