A great opportunity has surfaced for a hardworking Contentious Probate Solicitor to join the Dispute Resolution department of a Top 100 law firm. This is a permanent position based at their Bath office. The Opportunity In joining this reputable firm, the Contentious Probate Solicitor will be working alongside an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Associate Solicitor, undertaking a varied caseload of contentious matters. These include, but are not limited to: Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act Claims challenging the validity of a will, based on capacity or undue influence Contentious Estate Administration, including disagreements between beneficiaries or issues with Executors in the performance of their duties Claims arising from breach of Trustee/Executor duties Person Specification The successful Contentious Probate Lawyer will ideally possess: 2-5 years’ PQE as a Solicitor Experience of assisting with contentious wills and probate claims in the past and handling claims from the early pre-action stages through to court proceedings having been issued An understanding of basic Wills, trusts and Estate Administration either gained by experience during your training contract or as an NQ Lawyer (desirable but not essential) Job Offer The salary for this Contentious Probate Lawyer role is £42,000 - £46,000 , and you will be given every opportunity to progress and develop yourself and your career.
