2nd Jobber – Finance Assistant at US Law Firm to £28,000
Overview
Growing US law firm based in the City is looking to hire a new Finance Assistant to work with the Financed Manager and Director of Finance for all offices in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). This role is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is keen to pursue a career in finance/accounts and has a minimum 6 months’ experience, ideally within a law firm, and is now looking for that next step-up – any accounting qualifications would be beneficial yet not essential, attitude and personality will be key Duties will include preparing balance sheet and bank reconciliations for EMEA offices, preparing summary of cash balances/treasury forecasts for EMEA offices, management accounting tasks including identifying exceptions and variance analysis, preparing and submitting monthly/ad-hoc journals, processing of cashbook items as required for EMEA offices, provide cover for London accounts payable function and other ad hoc duties and requests that may arise. Standard hours are 9:30 – 17:30 with this firm housed in stunning offices, and in addition to a very competitive salary they also offer a generous benefits package. Applicants require excellent numeracy and technical skills (in particular excellent working knowledge of MS Excel), strong attention to detail, have a willing and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to take the initiative and good communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the business, clients and vendors.
