Service Director (Engineering/Plant/Rental) Basingstoke, Hampshire £75,000 - £85,000 20% Bonus Company Car (Equivalent to £625 a month) BUPA Healthcare for Individual and Family 6% Employer/4% Employee Pension Service Director position available in a very successful global manufacturer and service provider. The role will suit those wanting an influential and autonomous role within the Senior Management Team. The role is key in driving sustainable growth and profitability in the Southern region. Candidates need to have excellent commercial acumen and operated at Director/Senior Management level. The ability to manage relationships with stakeholders and customers is crucial as is managing profit and loss. Candidates need to have experience in service within plant or similar and ideally used to dealing with rental/asset management. Reporting to the MD, you’ll have responsibility for growth of used equipment and short term rental in the Southern region. The role is primarily based out of the Head Office in Basingstoke with travel when needed to fulfill the role responsibilities. You’ll work closely with the Service Directors across the business to combine overall business strategy. The role focuses on the short term rental market in an industry with lots of untapped potential. The successful applicant will fully understanding the forklift market in order to achieve sustainable growth. You’ll also hold an influential role in supporting the sales team ensuring robust and successful relationships are built. The role in brief: Reporting to the MD, full operational profit and loss responsibility for the Southern Region in used equipment and short term rental. Part of a driven leadership team. Responsible for asset management of the fleet. Grow market share and be fully aware of the market trends. Profit and loss responsibility. Drive collaboration within the department. Travel to meet customers and colleagues across the South. Management of a team primarily across 2 locations – Hampshire and South Wales The person required: Asset management experience. Experience operating at director/senior management level. Experience in plant/forklift or similar industry. Ideally have an understanding of used equipment sales/rental market. Ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders within the business. Able to successfully lead team. Commercial acumen.
