Java Developer with commercial experience working with Java 8, SpringBoot, Spring MVC, SOAP API’s, Azure or other Cloud tech & Agile is immediately required to join an award-winning nationwide financial services provider based in Croydon on an initial 6-month contract. The Job As a Java Developer you will be a senior member of an Agile SCRUM 5-person cross-functional (backend, frontend, QA) team building a new B2C product which is currently in conceptual phase and soon to be released soon. With lots of MVP building and some BAU work, you’ll be hands-on with real scope for innovation building backend microservices with Java 8 & SpringBoot connected to a PostgreSQL running on Azure Cloud. The Person This Java Developer contract requires you to have 5 years commercial experience working on high performance applications within Agile environments. You will need to have a strong understanding in Java 8, SpringBoot, Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL), SOAP API’s and GIT. The Tech Commercial experience using Java 8 or later versions Experience using Spring (SpringBoot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Core Spring etc) Experience building REST or SOAP API’s Knowledge in microservices (preferable) Exposure to Azure of other cloud platforms Testing experience using Junit, JTest or other tools Agile development experience (SCRUM, Kanban, Scaled Agile) The Company This Java Developer contract provides a fantastic opportunity to join a highly reputable, nationwide financial services provider currently redefining the evolving insurance industry with their technical prowess.
