Overview
Our client, a mechanical manufacturing business present in multiple high value markets, seek to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on bespoke cradle to grave design projects. They offer a great working environment, the chance to work with a creative team of engineers, autonomy to run your own projects and the chance to develop innovative products. The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will be very practical with hands-on mechanical engineering knowledge. We are keen to hear from candidates who have undertaken an apprenticeship and then gone on to do a mechanical degree as well as those who have taken the academic route. Mechanical Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Mechanical Engineering / Soldworks / CAD / Manufacturing Responsible for producing design and detailed drawings, together with written specifications, to enable manufacture of company products Produce accurate design, bill of materials, detailed drawings Manage multiple design projects from cradle to grave Mechanical Design Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Mechanical Engineering / Soldworks / CAD / Manufacturing Ability to manage your own projects and to solve a complex engineering problem Fully conversant with 3D CAD packages (ideally but not essentially Solidworks) Familiar with all aspects of the R & D function including CAD design, documentation, prototyping and testing Be able to think outside the box and come up with innovative engineering solutions Mechanical Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Mechanical Engineering / Soldworks / CAD / Manufacturing If this role could appeal please do apply now This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89831921
