Overview
Job Profile for Design Engineer - AM140940 Mechanical Design Engineer required for a well established manufacturer based in the Birmingham area. It is envisaged that the succesful candidate will be confident on softwares such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, ideally be degree served, and have experience within a similar position. Design Engineer Position Overview Produce new design ideas in Solidworks and AutoCAD. To work from limited information supplied by customers in order to design the product and prepare approval drawings Produce models, images & drawings using CAM Packages (Training can be provided) Create new product development and introduction records; record and log progress through from concept to final production design. Create manufacturing records on their business system Work with customers, via phone call, email or customer visit to our facilities, to develop new products, resolve product application difficulties and other technical issues. Liaise with other members of the engineering and/or manufacturing teams when developing production methods for new products and responding to production issues with existing products. Design Engineer Position Requirements Degree served in an engineering subject Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD Experience as a Design Engineer/similar advantageous though graduates considered.
