Assembly Fitter

Assembly Fitter (contract) Based in Coventry Excellent rates of pay on Umbrella or PAYE with shift uplifts Day Shift Overtime available Primary Purpose of Job To assemble aerospace Engine Components and sub-assemblies that meet drawing and other documented requirements. To co-operate with other team members to achieve Assembly schedules. Key Tasks Assemble units and sub-assemblies to ensure conformance to drawing and other relevant documents. Endorse appropriate documentation to record conformance. Liaise with Team Leader and others to ensure company and customer requirements are met. Operate as part of a team that makes the most effective use of Assembly and Test resource. Take part in Continuous Improvement activities as required to help improve process robustness and reduce the cost of poor quality. Use lifting equipment to raise and lower Engine Components Assemble units and move them around on the bench when necessary. Visually check parts for any defects. Any other tasks considered commensurate with your role by your Manager. Essential Qualifications/Skills required: Must have an apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
