Overview

Change Public Practice are working closely with a local Accountancy firm in Aberdeen to recruit an experienced Accounts Supervisor or Manager to their team. This firm has seen large scale growth in the last 12-18 months and so this opportunity would suit an ambitious individual who is looking to make a long term career move where they can progress whilst working with an interesting and varied workload. This firm also offers a friendly and relaxed working environment and so it really is the best of both worlds. In order to be considered for this role, you must have current or previous experience in Practice, within an Accounts capacity - ideally 5 years' minimum. Individuals who are qualified by experienced, fully qualified or part way through a qualification can be considered. This role offers the chance to work with a varied client portfolio, with businesses ranging in size and sector. The successful candidate will be joining an established Accounting teams, and due to ongoing growth across the firm, can offer great career progression. The duties within this role are: - Management of approx. 70 clients including complex groups - Supervision of a team of junior Accountants to assist in the day to day running of the team - Assisting both clients and colleagues with technical queries - Working closely with the management team on ad-hoc projects Skills and experience required: - ACCA/CA qualified, QBE or Part-Qualified will all be considered - At least 5 years’ experience gained in practice - Previous supervision of a junior team is essential to be considered - Knowledge of IRIS and Sage would be advantageous - A background in building & maintain strong client relationships - Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines To discuss this role further, or other opportunities within Public Practice, please contact Johanne Smith
