Overview

What you'll be doing: Own compliance and maintenance of the Financial controls framework Drives process improvement and delivery of future optimisation Own process of balance sheet analysis and reconciliations for Group Finance and the month-end close Manage offshore resources to ensure monthly management accounting packs and balance sheet analysis are accurately produced on a timely basis Work with business and offshore teams to clear open balance sheet items and query resolution Work with offshore teams and businesses to improve process of balance sheet management Manage the process to cleanse sub-ledgers and GL accounts ahead of new system transformation and implementation in medium-term Report progress to management of balance sheet cleansing and ensure appropriate escalation of issues Work with offshore teams and businesses to identify open balance sheet items by business to support value take on with new system What we're looking for: Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with experience in a large, complex organisation Audit or experience of operating financial controls essential Ability to lead process improvement and optimisation, especially with financial control frameworks Ability to work in a matrix organisation across multiple legal entities and business Experience in managing a team onshore and offshore Experience of managing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation Proactive, delivers within agreed timescales Detail and analytical minded Demonstrably high level of communication skills Innovative and creative thinker that provides solutions About Capita/Group Finance Capita is a leading UK provider of technology enabled business services.
