JOB DESCRIPTION 1. JOB TITLE: HR Recruitment Apprentice 2. DEPARTMENT: Human Resource Management Services 3. JOB PURPOSE: To work as part of the Resourcing and Business Support team providing first line support to the department. The post is based in a standard office environment. 4. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Arvato Recruitment has a key role to play in ensuring that the values and strategic aims of the company are understood by staff at all levels. The HR Recruitment Apprentice will assist the Senior Management Team to create the desired organisational climate for giving effect to the Corporate Plan and other institutional strategies. In doing so it endeavours to reflect best practice across the full spectrum of its functions and activities to ensure Arvato attracts, retains and motivates staff of the highest calibre. Arvato currently employs in the region of c. 1400 full-time staff: administrative, professional, technical and clerical staff, and skilled and semi-skilled support staff. It employs many people from the surrounding locality, thereby making a contribution to the social fabric of the area. 5. WORK PERFORMED AND/OR KEY RESULT AREAS: Assist with routine enquiries into the department by telephone, email and in person, directing calls as necessary. Receive, log and distribute CV’s. Respond to enquiries about recruitment information packs, recording and collating application forms and prepare packs for collection. To assist the business with logging applications onto the Recruitment database and recording equal opportunities data. Assist with the storage and archive of completed recruitment files. Maintain appropriate stocks of recruitment materials such as application forms and information packs. Ensure availability of standard forms for use by members of the Resourcing and Business Support Team. Assist with the preparation of interview packs for Hiring Managers. To complete general office tasks including filing, photocopying and collating documentation. To carry out any other relevant duties as determined by the HR Manager (Resourcing and Business Support). ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR ENGAGING AN APPRENTICE PLACEMENT Arvato will act as a placement for an apprentice for up to 14 months organised through Key Training, Arvato’s training provider. TRAINING The apprentice will work towards the achievement of a Recruitment Resourcer Level 2 apprenticeship qualification standard. "Attached Separately" The Apprentice will be assessed on a regular basis by a representative from the Key Training. Apprentices will be monitored during their placement to ensure that they are making satisfactory progress towards the achievement of their qualifications. SALARY - £12,000 per annum. HOURS OF WORK - 37 hours per week inclusive of study/development/training time to be worked as follows:- Monday to Thursday 9:00am - 5.30pm and Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm (less one hour lunch break each day) A flexible approach to work will be required on occasions to meet the needs of the service area and you may be required to work outside of the contracted hours of work. HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT 25 days plus Bank Holidays. PENSION SCHEME Apprentices will be automatically enrolled in the Arvato pension scheme. ABSENCE & LATENESS Line Managers monitor attendance and timekeeping on a daily basis. Employees are expected to contact their line manager within 1 hour of any absence in accordance with the Attendance Policy. FUTURE EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS The Apprenticeship will last for 14 months. There is no guarantee of employment beyond this period, however we encourage our Apprentices to apply for jobs advertised within the organisation including those advertised internally, subject to successful progress and completion of the Apprenticeship.
