Children's Services Team Manager

Spencer Clarke Group are working closely with Lancashire County Council to appoint a Children’s Services Team Manager. . The role is on an agency contract for a minimum of 3 - 6 months which is highly likely to be extended on an ongoing basis. Rate of Pay - Negotiable depending on experience. (Client willing to pay a substantial hourly rate) Location – Fleetwood, FY7 8FF. Department - Directorate for Children and Young People within the Assessment and Safeguarding Team. Key Responsibilities: Be responsible for the management of an Integrated Assessment and Support Team. Promote a high standard of professional practice through personal example and by encouraging appropriate professional training & development. Provide regular formal and informal supervision to team members. Allocate work and resources as appropriate, and to manage the workload of team members. Ensure that all accepted referrals and enquiries are dealt with or have a child’s plan in place within required time limits. Attend regular liaison meetings with other Directorate and agencies representatives. Ensure that electronic and paper administration systems within the team are current and appropriate, that recorded information is accurate, and that timely data is provided by team members. Deputise for the Service Manager, Integrated Assessment and Support, as required. Instil, promote and maintain a healthy and safe environment for all team members. Substitute for other Team Managers as required, including work across Localities if required e.g. providing cover in other Localities in exceptional cases. Contribute to, and/or participate in, projects and initiatives (including truancy sweeps) associated with the functions of both their own area of service delivery and others as required.
