Overview

Acorn Recruitment is searching for a Depot Manager to join our client, a leading provider or waste management based in Chester. The purpose of role is to manage the day to day operations of the site handling non-hazardous trade and commercial waste. Duties and responsibilities will include the management of the fleet of trade waste / hook lift collection vehicles. Managing the plant and transfer facility at site in accordance with the site environmental permit, current legislation and regulatory compliance. Enforcing health and safety on the site. Staff management Risk assessments and 3rd party contractors. The successful candidate with have previous experience within the waste operations industry on a materials recovery facility. Waste processing, handling, transfer, bulking operations and hold a COTC / WAMITAB qualification. Must be able to work as part of a team, organise and prioritise a busy workload in order to meet deadlines. A full driving licence is required along with flexibility to travel for meetings / training / site visits. Hours of work: 40hrs per week Salary: Dependent on skills and experience to offer.
