About Us: Oaklea are looking for a team of Support Workers to support a male customer within his own home near Barnard Castle, County Durham. Due to the requirements of our customer, candidates must be male. Clean driving licence essential. Support Worker - About the Role: Applicants must be caring, flexible, supportive and able to work as part of a team supporting a male customer with learning difficulties enabling him to live in the local community whilst promoting an independent lifestyle. Tasks involve personal care, administration of medication, support with meal preparation and house hold activities. The position involves working flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, sleep-in nights and waking nights. Working with Oaklea is both rewarding as well as at times challenging. Support Worker - What We Need from You: The ideal candidates must have good values, able to lone work and support individuals to lead a fulfilling life and meet the Oaklea Trust 7 keys of citizenship. Full training is provided including Positive Behaviour Support and the Care Certificate. DBS checks are paid by the employer.
