Overview

Prestigious and well established town centre business is seeking a Litigation Support Assistant to join their team. A varied and busy role for an experienced (1-2 years) administrator. Key responsibilities of the Litigation Support Assistant include: Scanning and checking all incoming post, ensuring post is correctly labelled Scanning of telephone attendance notes, conference notes, internal memos and work slips on Visual Files, ensuring these are correctly labelled Opening and closing of files including carrying out conflict checks prior to opening new files and printing documents Filing Splitting and updating master bundles Passing records to General Office for scanning, then checking and ensuring all medical records are correctly scanned on before arranging for them to be confidentially shredded When collating documents to place on an encrypted CD, to ensure all passwords received from General Office are saved on Visual Files and providing the password to the relevant fee earner/secretary who has requested the CD When encrypted CDs are received from General Office, to check passwords are correct and ensure all documents are on the CD Assisting with preparing bundles - use of General Office encouraged where appropriate to ensure deadlines are met Preparing cheque requests for invoices for photocopying charges and such like for fee earners and paralegals Saving attachments to incoming emails the fee earners may received Ensuring all post left in the "post to be scanned tray" is cleared daily Occasional visits to Court or Chambers The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and have solid previous administrative experience, preferably within a legal environment. Good attention to detail and organisation is key, along with good IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Office generally. £18K - Full Time - Permanent - 26 days holiday plus bank holidays - Health Insurance - Critical Illness Cover - Death in Service - Eye Care Vouchers - Child Care Vouchers - 5.2% contributory pension scheme after three months - Private Health Care after six months.
