Overview
Senior Project Manager in Bristol We are looking for an experienced IT project manager to lead a small team across a major transformation programme for a well respected Bristol organisation. You will initiate, plan, design, implement, and close assigned projects under the direction of the Programme Manager, including governance, reporting and monitoring, all in accordance with the specific methodology, standards and policies. This is a hands on project management role with some mentoring and leadership responsibilities and will include the following duties - Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation Lead projects from initiation through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk management and mitigation Successful coordinate of internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments Analyse project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects This is a key role in the overall transformation programme and therefore requires skills in the following areas. Have held the position of Project Manager for multiple £1million initiatives Hands-on experience with successful delivery of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or similar projects Proven success working with all levels of an organisation Professional certification - including Agile, PMP/PRINCE II Ability to deliver to deadlines and within budget Strong presentation skills Previous success in delivering software platforms into organisations Experience in delivering Office 365 functionality Experience developing in-house platforms for internal processes Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members' capabilities and skill sets Strong written and verbal communication skills In return we are offering a very competitive salary coupled with some great benefits and the chance to work on this ground breaking highly visible transformation programme for a true market leader.
