Application/Software Support Developer This Software Support Developer role will be based in Altrincham and Support Developers need to demonstrate good SQL experience. The application support developer role will involve providing telephone and email support to customers including troubleshooting their problems. This support developer role will give the candidate an opportunity to grow into a technical consultant role within the Systems / Software Support/development team. The Web Support Developer will deal with a variety of issues, being the initial point of contact for clients and working towards a full resolution for these issues in a timely fashion. Therefore troubleshooting, analytical skills and excellent customer skills are fundamental. Application Support Developers will need a good understanding of 1st & 2nd line customer support, application support, SQL Server and knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Duties include: Advising clients of the status of their queries Maintaining support logs. Escalating technical issues. Prioritization of queries. Monitor scheduled tasks and processes Provide maintenance and sometimes minor changes for existing systems as necessary Carry out any development within a controlled environment Work with development delivery teams Writing and maintaining basic relational database scripts Key skills: Software/Application Support SQL HTML/CSS JavaScript JS Frameworks like React or Node Zendesk/Jira Agile Methodical approach to problem investigations Powershell or similar scripting experience Desired Skills: Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks Zendesk, Jira Agile This Software Support Developer role will suit someone who has a strong understanding in applications support / development including project work, technical specification, development, documentation and unit testing.
