Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of our client Linear Blue; a dynamic and cutting edge, award winning database and web development company. They're seeking for a technically minded individual keen to join a small but well-established team who are very highly respected in their industry. Our client are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person, who’s passionate about programming, creating and maintaining both desktop and web-based solutions. Responsibilities will include: Reporting directly to the commercial director, the apprentice will be working with the teams senior developers where they will be exposed to a broad range of technologies Helping to work on exciting projects across a large range of market sectors Assist and work closely with an experienced database and web development team Become able to follow in-house development standards, whilst having the flexibility to work on cutting edge systems Have the opportunity to embark on supervised site visits with an array of high-end clients This is the ideal role for someone wanting to start a career in software development with an opportunity to get unique, varied and in-depth experience in the field. Desired skills You must have an interest in or a good understanding of relational programming, any knowledge of MySQL, MS SQL, C++, objective C or any other database language will be advantageous Personal qualities The ideal candidate will be confident, outgoing with good communication skills. Although this is a developer role you will be expected to build and maintain business relationships so experience or confidence when networking will be an advantage Desired qualifications 5 GCSEs grade A-C (8-4) including maths, English and IT Training to be provided Software development technician level 3 apprenticeship standard: A software development technician is typically the part of a team that builds simple software components for web, mobile or desktop applications, as part of larger software development projects This apprenticeship will help you to interpret design requirements for discrete components of the project, typically implementing code, which other team members have developed, to produce the required component before testing that this component meets its intended functionality On successful completion, apprentices can apply for entry onto the register of it technicians. Apprentices must achieve each of the ofqual-regulated knowledge modules, as summarised below.
