Overview

Support Worker job. Permanent, Withernsea. £16250 per annum. Full time position Your new company You will be joining a company that provide respite care and long term supported living for young adults and adults 16 with learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues. They support the service users to live more independent lives through a holistic approach to their education, care and day to day lives. Your new role You will work either 1-1 with a service user in their supported living or alongside a ream in the respite care to give support to clients with learning disabilities and autism. You may deal with challenging behaviour and be able to manage difficult situations. You will be involved in all aspects of their lives including personal care, cooking, daily routines, excursions and support with education. Your typical shift patterns will include 12 hour shifts, days, might, weekends and shorter shifts such as 10-6. What you'll need to succeed You must have recent and relevant experience of working in a similar setting. Ideally with an NVQ 2 or equivalent or a care certificate you will be able to quickly adapt to working with a new team. You will be passionate about promoting Independence and have a real enthusiasm for working with your clients.
