General Manager - CAMHS childcare - Fantastic pay Benefits Your new company Your new company are the UKs leading provider of specialist residential childcare and education. They focus on children who have complex challenging behaviours and who need specialist care. They have specialist residential facilities as well as fostering and education services. The home you will be based in is located near the old market town of Wisbech surrounded by beautiful gardens and a short distance from supermarkets, bus services and a lively town centre. Your new role As a general manager your main role is to ensure the homes policies and procedures are adhered to and the homes resources are managed and used effectively. You will be assisting the registered manager in the implementing the statement of purpose as well as deputising in their absence. You will be continually improving the service through regular evaluations and training as well as regularly working along side 3rd parties to ensure the children have the best possible support. You will be meeting the needs of children, managing a staff team, promoting efficient and effective operation of the home and much more. There will be some on-call work with this role also. What you'll need to succeed In order for you to be considered for this role you MUST have NVQ level 3 in residential care or equivalent and be working towards level 4. You must have a good knowledge of childcare legislation and safeguarding policies as well as knowledge of Ofsted procedures and policies. You must have excellent team building skills as well as strong leadership and management skills. You must have 1 year relevant supervisory experience and 1 year residential childcare experience. Experience acting as an appropriate adult (PACE) is preferred but not essential. A full UK car license is also essential in this role.
