This really is a role like no other, my client is a multi-million-pound leading global wireless technology / IoT solutions company. This role is based at my client's technology hub in Amersham, but they also operate across a network of offices across the globe. There is currently a huge amount of rapid growth within the company and they are now seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Linux to join this expanding team. In this team you will be responsible for designing and developing ARM - Linux infrastructures and backend components. You should have the following skills and attributes for the Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Linux vacancy: - -Embedded C running on Linux RTOS (essential); taking designs from concept to manufacture. -Bright, enthusiastic, self-reliant and good at problem solving with minimal backup. -Capable of quickly understanding the code base for their complex product range. -You will be responsible for investigating and introducing a new software / technology as a side project. The skills and abilities for this Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Linux role are: -Proven background in Embedded C development. They also use C++. So, both would be great but just C is fine. -Proven experience in a Linux environment - Proven experience of ARM cores. -Any device driver experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
