Overview

We are currently looking to appoint a Projects Procurement Executive for an established family run business with a current turnover of circa £20m, based in Stockport. As a Projects Procurement Executive you will be responsible for running the end to end procurement process for a number projects, including liaising with design, production, operations & suppliers to ensure that project milestones are met on time and in budget. Key responsibilities and duties of this role Ensure the smooth running of procurement activities associated with projects. Build strong sustainable relationships with suppliers. Take responsibility for managing multiple projects and spend categories between £100k - £500k. Attend projects meetings on a weekly basis to provide a clear, concise update on your area of work for each project. Build strong sustainable relationships with suppliers. Negotiate with suppliers to form 'win win' situations - considering the 5 rights 'right time', 'right place', 'right price', 'right quality', 'right quantity'. Place orders through the system in conjunction with the planned production programme and operations. Ensure that all materials are in the right place at the right time - taking a lead on ensuring deliveries and logistics are planned accordingly. The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications Experience in a purchasing/procurement role in a manufacturing/engineering/construction environment Experience of working in a fast paced,project based environment Strong project management skills (Ideally Prince 2 or PMP qualified) An eye for detail and efficiency Positive can do attitude and ability to work on own initiative Ability to negotiate and build relationships with multiple stakeholders (including suppliers and customers) Ability to work to project deadlines, understanding urgency and changing customer needs Experience of using SAP or similar Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm (can be flexible) Benefits Salary - £27,000 - £32,000 (DOE) Bonus Auto Enrollment pension Free lunch once a week 29 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays Healthcare Free parking
